Date Night

Date Night

Inspired by my steamy Date night with my man tomorrow, I played on what he thinks sexy and what I think your man would too...

This sexy little black dress by Dion Lee , is tight where it needs to be showing off that fab butt of yours. I love how it shows just enough skin for you to get away with. This beautiful oversized blazer by Stella McCartney brings elegance to your outfit and gives it a minor pop of colour.
Giuseppe Zanotti designs amazing shoes and this heel is hot, simple yet enough. I love the thick strap detailing. I have added this Stella McCartney satin bra, thats for later. Red is the colour of love and why not surprise him. Lingerie is a must have on a date night.

I have added a few high end accessories, however any would do. I'm still in love with this Prada purse. It's the perfect shape and size and of course this amazing Cartier piece from the LOVE range and why not love things up a bit by wearing the universal symbol for love.

And Finally a spritz of my favourite perfume by Salvatore Ferragamo - Signorina. This perfume is sexy and sweet. It will make you irresistible and a fresh coat of this nude coloured colour for a natural manicured look.

Please share with me your idea of the best date night outfit, I'd love to know.

Styling the Boyfriend Coat

Trending at the moment is the ever glamourous boyfriend coat, this trend is a simple and easy way to dress your outfit up. Who would have thought that keeping warm would be so accessorising.

Above I have put together two variations of this trend.
#1 is paired with washed out boyfriend jeans by Lee jeans and a leather crop by Dion Lee. Although the jeans keep it casual the leather crop keeps it sexy. Black on black gives the outfit edge while the pale pink pumps by Giussppe Zanotti  and clutch lady-fy this attainable outfit.
This is a must for the upcoming winter months. I love this black coat by Topshop, quiet affordable at under $100 AUD
I added a mild accessory that of a Marc Jacobs (Amy Dexter Glitz) with pastel coloured diamond detailing - definitely on my winter wish list.

#2 is pair with a slim fit dress, this sexy navy number is a Zimmerman piece, which is paired with YSL ankle boots which dress this outfit up. I love this pale pink theme running through these two outfits, The pale pink is so lady like and gives the outfit a soft touch. And lastly, the Celine Phantom (OMG!) What outfit is not complete with this amazing creation.

The above is my interpretation of how i would style my boyfriend coats this winter. The key here is to introduce the trend as a subtle feature of your outfit or have it be the statement piece bringing your outfit to life.

Let me know how you would style your boyfriend coats, I'd love to see what you come up with!

Much Love xx

Unlikely Style Muse: Kim Kardashian

I thought I'd start a new edition, that looks at the people I have found style inspiration from - those who I may have not considered previously and some who cause a stir. I don't discriminate based on their character when it comes to deciding whether someone looks good, because if you look great I don't care who you are.
I'm a big Kardashian fan but at times i have found myself loving or loathing Kimmy K. Lately however, her style has been admirable, she ha become some what of a style icon for me, she keeps things classy yet so sexy. And has made an astonishing style transformation, toning down the over-clash of bright colours and keeping things simple  yet elegant is a rounded definition of how i see style. Now that is not to say that her fashion choices are not point of objection and controversy.
She has made curvy sexy, and her outfit choices have complimented her figure perfectly. She has really become a style icon.

I have picked my top 9 favourite Kimmy K style moments!

LOOK 1.
I'm a self proclaim white on white lover, and it
takes guts for a curvy girl to pull it off and Kim has
made me love it more! I love co-ord pieces
there really hot right now and simple.

LOOK 2.
I love these pastel colours matched with
an oversized coat.  I love the pastel teal high-waisted
skirt, that mermaid tails at the end shows elegance,
while still keeping it Kim with the tight fitted  crop.
Love it! I love Kim variety of over-sized coats,
she really styles them right, this one in particular.

 LOOK 3.
Not normally a fan of metallics but this pieces is so
beautiful. The mild sheerness of the outfit say sexy
but not trashy. She has really works this
one out. The crop keeps things cute.

LOOK 4.

This outfit is so simple yet so sophisticated.
White shirt, black pants and nude heels.
Kimmy has done it right again. The cut of both
pieces compliment her figure, tight and revealing
where necessary sculpting her best features.

LOOK 5.

One of my all time favourite outfit ever worn
by Kim. The transparent top is kept subtle
by the length of her sleeves and the high
neck line. I love how she pull of a tight
maxi, yet again embracing her curves.
White all the way.

LOOK 6.
I love the pale pink this Autumn, and although
the seasons are different here to the USA,
it still works all year round. I love the cut
and style of this outfit, the skivvy/ high-neck
lines are are so in right now and she wears
this trend so well. And again her curves
are being showcased in this hot tight high-waisted
skirt.

LOOK 7.
This cinderella style gown is so beautiful.
Keeping the piece simple in cut, but so flattering. I love red,
on Kim she holds it so beautifully.

LOOK 8.
I love Kim's relaxed airport look. She looks
so stylish but so comfortable. and again
the monochrome trend is ageless, its for any
age and figure as long as you wear the
correct style of clothing in the places you
desire to flatter or tone down. So basic, but very
 effective.

LOOK 9.
And finally, The last look for the evening. I love
vintage lace look, giving this dress a classy feel
but the sheerness and transparency of her dress
matched with the fuller underclothes are becoming
a trend, one that I'm not so brace to try yet,
but one that Kim makes look effortless. I love the
mermaid hem it creates such elegance and
creates an illusion of a fuller womanly figure and
skinner legs.

What are your favourite Kim fashion moments? Or who is your latest fashion crush that you wouldn't have thought to be?
Let me know :)

Met Gala 2014: The Good, The Bad and The Try Again Next Year...

From Kimye to Cara, Designers from Chanel to Stella McCarthy to TopShop. It was all guns blazing at this years Met Ball. The fashion being a main focus as always. Some attendees were attempting  redemption from the year that was, others just dazzled us again with their flawless presence.

Famous for the infamous dress code setting, The Met Gala is an excuse for Hollywood and fashion's finest to parade along a red carpet in sometimes controversial pieces, the Oscars without the Oscar. This years dress code was White Tie and Decorations - Some fit the brief quiet well, while others should try again next year...

Here's my wrap up of the nights fashion frenzy.

Best Dressed.

1.  Bad Gal RiRi x

Lovely in White, this girl has yet again wowed the fashion world. From her revealing not so there attire to magnificent gowns. This girl can work anything (grrr...). Wearing a Stella McCarthy piece RiRi shows us how its done, taking the co-ord trend to whole new level, showing off that toned stomach of hers, while keeping classy with long strong shoulders, giving the outfit edge with a messy up-do. Classy yet edgey. Deffinately a #1 winner this year.

2. Koe Kravitz

Loving this riskay piece worn by Zoe Kravitz. The Burgande is a fave this season and is worn well against her beautiful skin tone. This piece is from Topshop and so elegant yet very sexy.

3. Anne Hathaway

Rocking the Co-ord, Always so graceful and lady like. She's perfection. Wearing Calvin Klein. Simple elegance is how I'd describe Anne's look here. Simple acesssories. So pretty.

4. Cara Delevingne

Wearing Stella McCarthy Everything, Cara has amazed us again with her versatile, tomboyish style, whilst also looking A-Class Chick. Setting a trend and giving the men a run for their money. Cara's casual yet stunning outfit speaks comfort and confidence. Nice One.

5. Rachael McAdams

Wearing a nude piece from the Ralph Lauren Collection. This dress is so beautiful, suiting her angelic personality. Definitely a classy lady. Well suited to her skin tone and complementing her eye colour, this was  great selection for this years festivities.

6. Kendal Jenner

Young and beautiful. Kendal has shocked the fashion scene with her appearances on A- grade fashion shows and her mature mindset - which is what this outfit screams. Wearing this gown from Topshop, the pearl beige is stunning on her figure, I'm loving the mermaid flare hem on her.

7. Bey & Jay-Z

Both rocking Givenchy Couture pieces. Looking that extra bit classy and cosy by each others side. Hollywoods power couple, trend setting yet again. I love the edgey look of Yonce's piece, she pulls of the hot mumma well. And a sharp tux never disappointed anyone Jay-Z. I'd vote these two # 1 Couple Costume.

8. Kimye

After major major back lash toward's Kim's 2013 couch cover disaster dress, Kim has come back hotter then ever. Showing flesh through a extremely high slit gown by Lanvin. Kim has exceeded redemption! Looking stunning as always. Kayne not so bad, rocking a Lanvin tux, very sharp, A smile for the camera wouldn't hurt.
The deep blue tone is a favourite on her.

Worst Dress.

1.  Rita Ora

This play-on Swan Lake did not give Rita justice this evening. It's somewhat trashy and very immature. I can see what she was hoping for with this, but didn't quiet go the distance. This assymetrical Donna Karen number had way to much going on. In my opinion gold is outdated. The shoes... Casadei gold leather gladiator boots scream too ballet for me. Left over material doesn't count as an accessory Rita. Better luck next time.

2. Gabrielle Union

The Prada Piece has much to answer for, I believe this did not quiet answer the brief of the evening. The crop I do like, however the skirt is questionable, I'm not a feather fan. The embellishments throughout the outfit look like a 5 year olds arts and crafts projection. Sorry Gabby.

This years Met Ball, had some fabulous fashion pieces, I have recieved some great inspiration from the outfits of the night if only I had anywhere to wear them to..
What was your favourite pieces of the evening? Who d you think was best dressed?
Leave your feedback below.

Staple Wardrobe Must have's

For me, I try and change up my wardrobe whenever I can.. Whether it's trying out a completely new style or a risky trend, It's always fun mixing it up.
With that being said however, It is a must to have reliable pieces to turn to when nothing seems to work, My very own holy grail.

Now this may alter depending on who you ask but I believe you can never go wrong with plain white tee and some trusty denim jeans! These are my go to! Paired with a bright lip and some rose gold accessories and your favourite pair of boots or flats! And Abracadabra! Your street ready with the least effort! This is my go to outfit, whenever I'm in doubt!

I have sourced many wardrobes and fashion advice and picked to 4 most basic and circulated wardrobe regulars that all us women need!

Trusty Jeans
Whether you have a big booty or no booty the right jeans will shape you right and flatter your figure! The key here is to select your jeans according to your figure. For me I love high waisted skinny jeans, they suit my figure correctly, flaunts my best assets correctly. Currently I have been rocking the boyfriend jean look. Love it!
Everyone has their own look and comfortability measure, your perfect jeans are out there if you haven't already found it! Inspiration is great, but we are all on our own jean finding journey, seriously! haha!
Needless to say, Jeans are common across all fashion fortes and are an essential if anything!

Here are my favourite pair at the moment.

Sports girl Denim
My current obsession. My boyfriend Jeans. I love the cut and they are so comfy and haven't lost form since I bought them a month ago. Thumbs up from me!

And here are a variety of jean styles and the figures that I believe are best suited to them, my opinion purely, so disagree if you may.

Sports: The A cuff jeans ($89.95) & G-star Raw ARC 3d Tapered ($200.00)

The classic baggy boyfriend jeans looks good on almost anyone when paired with the right top. However, if you want trying to accentuate your butt these aren't for you, because if you don't  got it this won't fit like a glove, rather  create the illusion that you have an either flatter butt then you do.
Best fit for curvier chikkas.

ASOS Ridley high Waisted ($62.23)
These babies are the typical high waisted dark denim skinny's. Ideal for all figures, obviously depending on your overall confidence in tight fitting denim. I love the carved off detailing at the hem!
Because of its high waist it has the ability to exaggerate a tinier waist while focusing on your hips and legs. HOT! All time favourite.

High Licks in B-side Blue ($159.95)
These are so cute! And are best suited to petite women. It's almost but not really 3 quarter length in perfect for a feminine look. LOVE!

White Tee
Comfortable. Easy. Hot. Stick me on a deserted island but give me an endless supply of white tees and I'm set.
The key tip here however is to find the right material. This does make a difference in the way it sculpts your body. Paying a little extra for the right style and material used will change the entire appearance of your figure, something that sticks to you in the wrong places will give the illusion that your all rolls and no tone.

Denim Jacket
I have not styled an outfit that doesn't look good with a denim jacket. It's like the salt to every outfit, you most probably need it to make your outfit complete. Key tip here is to find a denim thats a medium tone, of your looking for a staple piece. If your not then don't worry. But if you find a colour that is neutral it will effortlessly look great with everything; too light it might wash your outfit out and too dark it may over power your look.

My New Ziggy Denim Jacket, Perfect Colour and style! ($90.00)

Classic Go-to Heel
Whether its Black or Green, we all have those heels that look great and feel great, not leaving you crippled for days. I'm currently loving the one strap that wraps around the ankle, with a not so tall heel. Love it! so classy and easily styled with any outfit, Perfect for turning a day look into an evening look.
Depending on your unique style finding the right heel that goes with everything depends on that, so take note of that when looking for that perfect pair.

Bardot: Patent Fever Heel ($69.95)

What are you Staple piece recommendations? I'd love to know

Mastering Tricky Trends from Australian Fashion Week 2014

Now, I love trying out new trends especially those from the cat walk, but doing so becomes daring and often hard to piece together. Styling run way trends into your every day wardrobe may become difficult because couture is not necessarily credible on the streets. However, I have some tips inspired from this years Australian Fashion Week, A bit delayed however I had to source out trends and find photos to match.
I love the prominent trends this year, It's a mix of daring and versatility, however so sheik and classy which is what I love!
I have also found affordable replicas for the trends exhibited on the catwalk, which is what it's all about. Finding cat walk trends on a shoe string budget is gold. And I have what you need while keeping things ordinary yet turning heads in these couture trends.

The Midriff
When looking to wear this trend it is important to take note of proportion. I always look for a high neck line or long sleeved look when buying a midriff, not that I have many. But for those who enjoy showing some skin keep it subtle by balancing out the bare skin with more coverage else where.

Above are a few examples of affordable crop's that I have found that fit my brief and are similar to the trends of the AFW cat walks and quiet cheap.

Sheer

Depending on how daring you are to bare it all, AFW had a variety of designers playing around with the trend with a lot to display. From modest pieces to somewhat controversial flesh baring garments. The key to mastering a sheer piece is to the push the focus to your best and most favourite asset whether it be your long legs or that six pack that your proud of. Remember don't over-accesorise and when picking the design structure of the item, keep lengths long, this will keep the outfit classy and avoid that unwanted trashy look.

I have selected a few of my favourite designs from a few designers.

Above: Two of my favourite affordable brands showcasing AFW trends!!

White
White is my all time favourite trend and it seemed to be one of the most prominent trends on the run way this year. White on White is a risky, so it seems, however its become a reoccurring and an enjoyable style inspiration for me. White styled with white has seemed to be a key inspiration for most of the designers this year and I can see why. It's so hot! Remember: to keep the outfit from looking flat a mixture of textures will play up the look and keep it looking stylish and interesting.

I have chosen a few pieces from designers including Ginger & Smart, Strateas Carlucci, Toni Maticevski & Haryono Setiadi

I hope this post gave you an idea of the trends from AFW 2014 and has helped all you ordinary girls out there looking to freshen up your every day ordinary wardrobes and incorparate those seemingly impossible couture trends. It is possible! And Don't be afraid to try something new, holding back from possible looks is a big regret. So go for it!
